The internship allows students to network with people within the motorsports industry and local community while working at one of the premier racing facilities in the United States. By the end of this internship, you will have a better understanding of the process and preparation that goes into planning and working at a race facility.
The voluntary internship will last, at minimum, the length of a semester, and all interns will experience multiple events including a major race weekend. The schedule is flexible and allows the student ample time to attend classes. However, the student will be required to attend certain events. While obtaining course credit for this internship by their college is not required, it is preferred.

Expectations: • All interns will conduct themselves in a professional manner. That includes proper dress and proper conduct during race weekend. • Interns will report to their internship manager. Interns are required to contact their manager to notify if they will be late, absent or need to leave early on any given day. • All interns will be treated as a regular employee of Texas Motor Speedway. They are to report to work on team each day (as assigned by their manager).

Texas Motor Speedway is looking for fun, energetic and outgoing people to work at Texas Motor Speedway as a LugNutz team member! LugNutz are a promotional street team that represents Texas Motor Speedway on race weekends as well as promotional events throughout the year. In addition to hands-on experience, valuable learning opportunities, the LugNutz will get paid to have fun! This position is great for marketing, communications, event sport management and advertising majors, but all majors are encouraged to apply.
Must commit to the LugNutz program for one (1) academic year with dates ranging from October 2016 to June 2017.
Must attend all race weekends at Texas Motor Speedway during the following dates: November 4-6 2016, April 7-9, 2017 and June 8-9, 2017.
LugNutz must participate in thirty (30) hours of paid promotion events throughout the academic year, other than race weekends. Willingness to attend these events will be part of the scholarship consideration process.
Mandatory LugNutz orientation October 2016 and training session one (1) month prior to each race thereafter.

Ticket Department Intern - Ticket Department Intern- Texas Motor Speedway (Fort Worth, TX)
The Ticket Department offers hands on experience in ticket sales and customer relations. Interns must be comfortable interacting with customers and visitors to Texas Motor Speedway. Interns are expected to become part of the team fulfilling orders, providing customer service and problem solving; interns, like all working in the Ticket Department, must be flexible and willing to work with other departments.
Internship opportunities are available in the spring, summer and fall semesters. This department sells tickets daily for all Texas Motor Speedway, Dirt Track and Red Bull Air Race events. Interns will assist in mass mailings and help maintain a master database of fans by updating information as needed. Interns need to be flexible and willing to work long hours if needed.

Must move quickly to meet deadlines is extremely important. The ideal candidate will be skilled in producing and delivering high impact video for in-venue productions on Big Hoss, the world’s largest HD video board as well as digital and broadcast environments.
Produce (20%), Shoot (40%) and Edit (40%) video & audio content i.e. fan interactive elements, ticket sales spots, sponsor promotions, community messages, events, ceremonies, driver skits, etc… that will be shown on Big Hoss, the world’s largest HD video board, during various race and non-race related events.
