Administration/General Management: Administrative/Executive Assistant
Executive Administrative Assistant - Kentucky Speedway (Sparta, KY)

Kentucky Speedway is seeking an Executive Administrative Assistant (EAA) to assist the General Manager (GM) and the VP of Sales and Marketing (VPS). The EAA conducts research, prepares reports, handles requests for information, writes correspondence and manages schedules on behalf of the GM and the VPS. In addition, the EAA receives clients, schedules meetings, and coordinates plans for travel and events. The EAA also assists in managing projects and priorities on behalf of other executives to ensure positive results. Projects must be accomplished on schedule in order to maintain systems of order and organization. The EAA will also support other staff members to champion the company’s mission and values. This is a full time position working in Sparta, Kentucky.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities may include:

•Protect the moral, legal and financial well-being of Kentucky Speedway   •Maintain high level of confidentiality   •Prepare executive-level reports, presentations, memos, letters, PO’s and other documents using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software   •Maintain a list of tasks and complete them on behalf of the GM and VPS •Conduct research, compile data, and prepare papers for presentation or review by executives during staff meetings   •Attend corporate meetings to record minutes and assist the GM and VPS in all situations   •Greet and host high level guest and clientele •Analyze incoming memos, emails and reports with a high level of confidentiality   •File and retrieve corporate documents, records and reports •Plan and make travel arrangements for executives   •Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively with staff to provide quality service   •Strong teamwork and relationship management skills; works effectively with all personalities   •Additional duties as assigned Preferred Knowledge and Skills may include:   •A minimum of five years experience providing executive level administrative support •Superior organizational and interpersonal skills / Corporate Event planning   •Possess proper ability to write, speak, think, and communicate clearly using excellent grammar   •Ability to effectively analyze situations using problem solving skills   •Demonstrate ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work effectively under stress, meet short deadlines, and take direction while thinking independently   •Must be able to coordinate multiple calendars/schedules and produce accurate work despite frequent interruptions   •Excellent knowledge of English grammar and composition   •Proficient with all Microsoft Office tools. Power Point presentations are a must   •Ability to accurately meet deadlines with minimal supervision   •Must be able to correctly handle all confidential information.   Personal Qualifications: Must be trustworthy, and fully dedicated to do what it takes for the company to be successful. Senior Director of Business Development - Corporate Sales Executive - Kentucky Speedway (Sparta, KY)

Position Overview:
A senior level corporate sales and account management position within the Kentucky Speedway sales department located in Sparta, Kentucky. This position will focus primarily on contacting potential sponsors, developing targeted marketing programs and selling integrated event partnerships for all events at Kentucky Speedway. Qualified candidates must have a strong sports sponsorship background and possess the organizational and management skills to develop and execute creative sales and marketing programs. Candidates must be self-starters capable of driving creative and comprehensive marketing alliances and partnerships.

Responsibilities
• Responsible for growing corporate sales revenue specifically by selling fully integrated sponsorship packages to new and existing business clients.
• Develop, present, and sell customized partnership packages.
• Create, present and sell other inventory including hospitality and suites, signage, print advertising and event display space.
• Reach sales revenue targets for the season and each major event.
• Research potential clients and determine opportunities to enhance their marketing and sales objectives via Kentucky Speedway’s available inventory.
• Heavy cold calling and prospecting for potential new business.
• Work within a team environment in collaboration with other Kentucky Speedway sales executives.
• Ensure sponsor contracts include promotional commitments that assist the company in building the Kentucky Speedway brand as well as assist in building event attendance and revenue.
• Research industries and companies, prepare presentations, and sell all assigned inventory and achieve net review goals assigned by category as well as total net revenue objective assigned.
• Reach sales revenue targets for the season and each major event.
• Assist in the coordination and execution of all sponsorship programs.
• Participate in facility events and productions as needed.
An ideal candidate will have at minimum the following qualifications and competencies:  

5 years minimum experience in sports sponsorship sales 
• Knowledge of the motorsports industry
• Basic knowledge of contracts and procurement a plus
• Good interpersonal skills, with ability to develop and maintain business relationships
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Proven negotiation skills and strong conceptual and strategic thinking ability
• Strong customer satisfaction orientation
• Excellent organization and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with presentation tools such as data management & salesforce.com
• Consultative sales style, prospecting skills, and a desire to identify new business opportunities 
Candidates must be willing and available, as needed, for working evenings, weekends and holidays including weekday and weekend overnight travel.

Vehicle Equipment Technician and Maintenance

The ideal candidate will be able to work well in a fast-paced environment with a variety of detail-oriented tasks with a positive attitude and a professional manner. This position requires initiative and the ultimate “can do” attitude, have the ability to work with multiple departments, and superb communication skills. You must be able to work a flexible schedule surrounding events.

General Description: This position involves the servicing and maintaining of all vehicles/buses, gas/diesel engines, golf carts, equipment, generators, pumps, etc. This position will require welding/fabrication of assigned projects.

Duties and Responsibilities: Diagnostic repairs Trouble shoot electrical wiring on vehicles/equipment Fabricating/welding Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment & facility, such as oil changes & minor repairs Purchase supplies, equipment, and materials necessary to complete projects Keep electronic maintenance records on all vehicles and equipment Basic computer skills Knowledge of machinery and tools necessary for the maintenance and repair of equipment Attend all events as needed to perform maintenance on equipment and/or vehicles Set-up and teardown event equipment as needed Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions Knowledge of reading and following blueprints and assembly instructions Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Kentucky Speedway staff & public Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Other facility maintenance duties as assigned

Physical Demands and Work Environment: This position may involve moderate to heavy work in all types of weather. There is frequent need to stand, sit, stoop, walk, lift heavy objects and perform other similar actions during the course of the workday. Environment is not always climate controlled. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to dust, odors, noise, and outside weather conditions while working lengthy hours in any given day, week or event. Travel to off-site locations is a possibility.

Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED, technical trade training a plus, but not required 2 year maintenance experience or equivalent combination of training and experience Valid driver’s license with a clean report CDL license a plus Welding certifications a plus

Personal Qualifications: Be a self-starter, with a strong sense of urgency in tackling challenges Must be trustworthy, and fully dedicated to do what it takes for the company to be successful Able to work extended hours as required, especially surrounding large events Be able to pass pre-employment background screening Employee is expected to adhere to all company policies
