Facility Operations/Event Staff: Race Official
Assistant Chief Referee - Loudon Road Race Series (Event Position) - New Hampshire Motor Speedway (Loudon, NH)

Summary:
The New Hampshire Motor Speedway is seeking a highly-motivated and dedicated professional to join our Loudon Road Racing Series Officiating Team. The primary responsibility of this position is to assist with the operation and competition management of the Loudon Road Racing Series events conducted at NHMS. This position is an Event Staff position during approximately seven racing event weekends.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Enforce the rulebook of LRRS
  • Assist in management of technical / mechanical inspections
  • Perform safety equipment inspections
  • Assist in officiating of race duties
  • Perform General Office Tasks
  • Assist in track maintenance and repairs.
  • Act as liaison between NHMS & competitors, crews, & guests
  • Other tasks as assigned

Skills and Attributes:

  • Highly dedicated and self motivated with a desire to be successful.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to speak and read English.
  • Neat and clean appearance.
  • Positive attitude and great work ethic.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends and nights.
  • The ability to work long hours on your feet in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to work with the public and be able to solve problems.
  • Operate computer system using windows based programs.
  • Mechanical knowledge including suspension, chassis, & drive train systems with specific knowledge in regards to motorcycles

  • Past experience in motorcycle road racing as a crew chief or racer

Experience and Education:

  • Minimum of 18 years old
  • Must have and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator license.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check
  • Must have High School Diploma or GED
  • Post Secondary Education in related field preferred
  • Should be able to provide six references (3) Business as well as (3) Personal
  • Experience in Motorsports Industry

Compensation:

  • Hourly pay negotiable

Corner marshals contribute to enjoyable, efficient, and safer motor racing. They are responsible for the safety of competitors and are stationed at various points of danger around race tracks to assist them in case of any collisions, accidents or track problems.

• Assist race control with the safety of the participants, other marshals/safety crew and yourself.
• Communicate and listen/interpret radio communications
• Assist in the picking up of crashed motorcycles, parts, and cleaning of the track surface
• Wave flags according to track activities to notify participants
