Business Development Executive - Premium Sales - Atlanta Motor Speedway (Hampton, GA)


We are looking for the right, passionate individual to join our team and develop/sell premium inventory for Atlanta Motor Speedway - one of the oldest and most iconic NASCAR tracks on the circuit.


Primarily responsible for selling premium inventory including but not limited to, annual suites, multi-year suites, large corporate block ticket sales, hospitality chalet’s, motorhome hospitality and track rentals/corporate events.  You will be provided with a pool car for traveling to appointments, cell phone and lap top.  Some travel to other NASCAR races will be required.  

Major Responsibilities:

  • This position will be focused on prospecting, appointment setting, executing sales presentations, and closing sales.
  • Set and conduct out of office sales appointments throughout the Georgia area.
  • Entertain and nurture relationships with clients and prospects through creative means including but not limited to: networking events, speaking engagements, one-on-one dinners / lunches and outside meetings.
  • Due to the nature of this project, the candidate must be willing to work non-traditional hours, weekends and event days.
  • The candidate will be accountable for certain levels of activity (calls and appointments), appointment goals, and closed sales goals.
  • Candidate should possess an optimistic team-first attitude, as well as the competitive desire to be the best.
  • Candidate should possess both the personal and professional communication skills to conduct face to face presentations.
  • Must be organized and know how to prospect well. 

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of prior sports sales/industry or equivalent sales experience is preferred.
  • Proven ability to work in a team-oriented environment and effectively influence and communicate with C-Level clients
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Previous working experience with SalesForce and Archtics is a plus
  • Candidate must have a strong work ethic and a desire to build a career in professional sports

Fan Relations Ticket Agent - Fan Relations Ticket Agent- Texas Motor Speedway (Fort Worth, TX)

The Fan Relations Department offers hands on experience in ticket sales and customer relations. Applicants must be comfortable interacting with customers and visitors to Texas Motor Speedway. Applicants are expected to become part of the team fulfilling orders, providing customer service and problem solving; and must be flexible and willing to work with other departments.

This department sells tickets daily for all Texas Motor Speedway, Dirt Track events. Applicants will assist in mass mailings and help maintain a master database of fans by updating information as needed. Applicants need to be flexible and willing to work long hours and weekends as needed.

Aside from working daily with our customers on the phone, applicants will be expected to assist other ticketing departments (Sales and Retention, Ticket Sales, and Credentials) with multiple events held on and off the track. Applicants are expected to work all the race events held during the year.

Vice President of Corporate Sales - Kentucky Speedway (Sparta, KY)

Position Overview: 

A senior executive sales management position within the Kentucky Speedway team located in Sparta, Kentucky. This position reports to the General Manager and is responsible for the leadership and management of all corporate sales activities including sponsorships, hospitality and partnership packages.  This position will lead a team of corporate sales executives and a client services team to enhance revenue growth and partnership development.  


  • Leads the team in selling motorsports event sponsorships, hospitality and suite packages for all racing events.

  • Identifies opportunities for and executes non-racing uses for Kentucky Speedway venue.

  • Coordinates and plans strategies and actions for the sales team to fulfill obligations while developing new programs and assets for sales efforts.

  • Oversees the development of the sales team.

  • Establishes compensation, training and sales programs.

  • Develops pricing policies, terms and conditions for high profile corporate partners.

  • Researches potential clients and determines opportunities to enhance their marketing and sales objectives via Kentucky Speedway’s available inventory.

  • Ensures sponsor contracts include promotional commitments that assist the company in building the Kentucky Speedway brand as well as assist in building event attendance and revenue.

  • Manages revenue, sets budgets, negotiates and closes contracts.   

  • Participates in facility events and productions as needed.

  • Coordinates with SMI national sales team.

  • Communicates with other SMI Sales VP’s.

  • Represents Kentucky Speedway in the community.   

An ideal candidate will have at minimum the following qualifications and competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 10 years related experience in sales and business development, with 5 years being in a senior management position.

  • Good interpersonal skills, with ability to develop and maintain business relationships.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

  • Must be highly organized, creative, trustworthy, and resourceful with the ability to process information quickly and make decisions in a fast paced environment. 

  • Proven negotiation skills with strong conceptual and strategic thinking ability.

  • Excellent organization and planning skills with the ability to manage a staff with multiple priorities.

  • Proficient knowledge of contracts and contract fulfillment.

  • Proficiency with presentation tools such as Power Point a plus.

  • Familiarity with SalesForce system software a plus. 

  • Proven sales track record in new sales development. 

  • Knowledge of the sports or motorsports industries preferred.

  • Must be a good teammate.

  • Must be willing and available for working evenings, weekends and holidays, including weekday and weekend overnight travel.

This department is seeking a candidate who is interested in event ticketing sales. This position will work with Motorsports ticket promotions, sales initiatives, and ticket fulfillment. The Ticketing department looks for someone who is energetic and able to multi-task in a fast-changing environment. Compiling and maintaining database information is also expected. 

Role and Responsibilities:    

  • Service existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales leads.

  • Promote and sell season, group and individual ticket packages.

  • Generate ticket sales revenue through heavy phone sales.

  • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and feedback on customer satisfaction.

  • Recommend changes in products and services, also including upselling strategies for a better racing experience.

  • Make a minimum of 50 outreach calls per day from provided lead lists & prospecting.

  • Meet or exceed daily call expectations and yearly sales goals.

  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.

  • Handle all incoming sales/service calls.

  • Effectively execute sales campaigns and training set forth.

  • Efficiently manage workday as determined by Management.

  • Maintain computerized records of clients and prospects with our system.

  • Assist customer service efforts during renewal campaigns.
