The Fan Relations Department offers hands on experience in ticket sales and customer relations. Applicants must be comfortable interacting with customers and visitors to Texas Motor Speedway. Applicants are expected to become part of the team fulfilling orders, providing customer service and problem solving; and must be flexible and willing to work with other departments.

This department sells tickets daily for all Texas Motor Speedway, Dirt Track events. Applicants will assist in mass mailings and help maintain a master database of fans by updating information as needed. Applicants need to be flexible and willing to work long hours and weekends as needed.

Aside from working daily with our customers on the phone, applicants will be expected to assist other ticketing departments (Sales and Retention, Ticket Sales, and Credentials) with multiple events held on and off the track. Applicants are expected to work all the race events held during the year.

Show car/Events team member - New Hampshire Motor Speedway (Loudon, NH)

Show Car-Events Team member (seasonal-part time)

In alignment with New Hampshire Motor Speedway’s vision, mission, organizational values, and under the direction of the Marketing Manager, the Show Car/Events Team member will be responsible representing NHMS at various shows throughout the northeast, positive brand exposure, engaging guests/fans and creating excitement for motorsports at NHMS. The individual will be responsible for transporting operating and maintaining the NHMS Show car, setting it up at events, interacting with guests and fans with engaging for The New Hampshire Motor Speedway, New England’s largest sports and entertainment facility.  The individual must have a good knowledge of autos, like being at exciting events, enjoy motorsports and understand the NHMS brand. 

Specific Functions:

  • Operation of the NHMS Gen 4 show car.

  • Maintenance along with our Maintenance department of the NHMS Show Car

  • Tell stories of interest to customers and prospects to help them better connect with NHMS.

  • Work at the booth with events and marketing promoting Motorsports and NASCAR

  • Suggest new opportunities for fans and guests to interact with the NHMS Show Car

  • Transportation of the Show Car (CDL is required)

  • Help set up and breakdown shows.

  • Be able to work independently at shows if required

  • Travel throughout New England at events and short tracks

  • Be available to drive the NHMS Show car for PR related events.

  • Work with the Marketing department and interact with the Digital Media Manager daily in all other functions as required.

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of automobiles.  Race Car knowledge is very helpful

  • CDL license is required for this position

  • Excellent communicator to talk with fans at events

  • Outgoing and energetic personality.

  • Passionate about racing and NASCAR

  • Self-starter who works well with team members

  • Collaborative person with great interpersonal skills.

  • Should love to engage with guests and knowledge of racing fan/guest experience preferred 

  • Generally accountable for:

    • Complying with SMI/NHMS and departmental safety standards.

    • Complying with SMI/NHMS and departmental dress code. 

    • Adhering to the Customer Service Standards of New Hampshire Motor Speedway as well as all Company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

    • Communicating effectively with all members of the NHMS team.

    • Support the corporate goals within social media and offer assistance where SMI corporate may need.

    • Actively supporting all Company initiatives.

Work Conditions and Schedule:

  • Exposure to weather should be expected as work can and will, occur outdoors and indoors.

  • Weekend and holiday availability is required as well as flexibility with work schedule—this is a part time season job, many shows are on weekends or nights

  • During race and events, the schedule may require a work week schedule over 40 hours per week, including nights.

Service and Retention Account Executive - Service and Retention Account Executive- Texas Motor Speedway (Fort Worth, TX)

Texas Motor Speedway is searching for a highly motivated and passionate candidate to join their Service and Retention Team. TMS is looking for an individual whom has a passion for the sports industry, a solid foundation in sales and service training, and the ability to initiate phone calls, emails, and face to face appointments, all to provide a top level experience to our current Season Ticket holders.

Essential Duties and Primary Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
• Provide a superior level of customer service to all ticket buyers, regardless of level of purchase
• Develop relationships with current and new accounts in order to provide a first class experience and generate repeat business
• Meeting or exceeding yearly renewal and new sales goals
• Attending various season ticket holder functions designed to add value to the overall experience of our clients
• Achieving or exceeding daily call volumes
• Working all scheduled track events to provide service to all ticket holders
• Off-site travel required to visit season ticket holders in the DFW area
• Maintaining and updating accurate records for season ticket holder base through the Ticket Master Ticketing System (Archtics)
• Contribute positively to the team culture by developing mutually beneficial working relationships with all team members
• Participate and contribute to daily or weekly sales team meetings and training sessions
• Continually create and implement unique sales and service strategies, ideas, and programs as a mean of producing new business opportunities

Competencies:
Include strong organizational, time-management, excellent oral and written communication, customer service and problem solving skills. The ability to function in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to deadlines is a must. Proficient computer skills include Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Outlook) as well as the ability to navigate the Ticket Master Ticketing System (Archtics) is essential. A candidate must have the ability to navigate Texas Motor Speedway in order to visit clients during race events and escort customers on seat tours, showing various seating options and facilities on both event days and non-event days. Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

• A minimum of two years of successful sales/service experience regardless of previous industry
