Requirements:

This department involves working with clients and sponsors on a national, regional and local level. The Corporate Sales Department focuses on fully developing integrated marketing partnerships between the client and the speedway. This department seeks outgoing, creative, highly motivated, can-do individuals with good communication skills. 

Specific Intern Duties: Assisting Sales Executives with sales proposals for existing and potential clients, research of companies and other possible sales opportunities, activating one of our many events which include, NASCAR, car shows, drag racing, etc. Daily office duties such as answering phone calls, filing, data management would also be a part of the position.

Interns must be able to work a minimum of 25 hours per week plus all events held during the semester.

This is an unpaid internship for college credit.

Job Summary: 

The Senior Sales Executive is responsible for producing corporate sponsorship sales revenues. The candidate must set appointments with regional, local and national business leaders and sell new corporate sponsorships for Atlanta Motor Speedway as well as service and maintain existing sponsorship accounts. Additional responsibilities include assisting in the development and execution of consumer and business-to-business promotions for new and existing account

 

Essential Functions:

 

·      Grow sponsorship revenue streams.

·      Focus on partnerships of $50k +.

·      Provide Customer Service to existing sponsorship accounts by visiting with the accounts throughout the season and off-season to ensure personalized, continual contact.

·      Renew Sponsorship Accounts that are assigned.

·      Set Appointments over the phone with corporate decision makers, with a certain number of appointments per week as a goal for success in the position.

·      Deliver the Sponsorship sales presentations on appointments with company decision-makers.

·      Assist in the creation and implementation of consumer and business-to-business-based promotions.

·      Maintain Salesforce database and add new database leads.

·      Prospect for quality leads.

·      Visit with accounts and maintain and develop relationship with sponsorship clients.

·      Assist in growing Events and Ticketing Revenues, including selling these inventories as necessary.

 

Qualifications

Required:

Job Summary:  Atlanta Motor Speedway is seeking highly motivated individuals to sell group ticket packages to businesses and organizations within the metro Atlanta area and beyond.

 

Essential Functions:

1.    Create new markets for group ticket sales in the local area through industry research cold calls and networking lead generation opportunities while maintaining a minimum number of calls.

    • Assist with the coordination of event weekend credential requests including ordering credentials, approving external requests and assisting media with SMI Credential System.

Responsibilities

The Director of Marketing is a member of the Sonoma Raceway management team and one of the principal authors of the raceway’s overall brand strategy, event marketing, advertising and promotional campaigns.  The position requires strong leadership, communication and coaching skills that lend themselves to working in a collaborative company environment.  The marketing director will play a lead role in directing program execution within the marketing and promotions staff as well as coordinating with corporate sales, public relations, ticket sales and other raceway departments to maximize overall company revenues and ensure consistent brand messaging.  The position reports to the Vice President of Marketing.

  • Develop coherent, season-long marketing campaigns around NASCAR, NHRA and INDYCAR racing events and core initiatives

  • Work with the VP, Marketing to develop and submit an annual marketing plan and oversee the implementation of long-term marketing and promotional campaigns to drive ticket sales, corporate sales, engage fans, and build brand awareness

  • Plan, manage and reconcile raceway’s annual marketing budget while placing strong emphasis on analyzing trends and measuring ROI in all areas
  • Develop quantitative reports in support of marketing and sales efforts across ticket and corporate sales programs
  • Work with VP Marketing to develop creative materials for all major events across television, radio, print, online and outdoor campaigns ensuring consistency and world-class presentation
  • Direct and oversee initiatives, timelines and goals for media buyer, production house and advertising agency
  • Oversee digital communications strategy and execution and work with Digital Marketing Manager on website, social media and all electronic communications,      e-marketing initiatives, website data collection, online promotions,
  • Oversee activities of Event and Promotions Coordinator and work to identify, book and coordinate race-day entertainment, including pre-race production.
  • Work with PR and communication teams to develop content that supports campaigns and initiatives
  • Work with other departments (Sales, Ticketing) to enhance sponsorship platforms and other track partnerships
  • Serve as main point of contact for racing series and broadcast partners

Essential Duties and Primary Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Responsible for the sales of new Full Season, Partial Season and Group Outing ticket packages, as well as PSLs, Victory Lane Club, and Speedway Club packages to both the business and consumer sectors
