This department involves working with clients and sponsors on a national, regional and local level. The Corporate Sales Department focuses on fully developing integrated marketing partnerships between the client and the speedway. This department seeks outgoing, creative, highly motivated, can-do individuals with good communication skills. 

Specific Intern Duties: Assisting Sales Executives with sales proposals for existing and potential clients, research of companies and other possible sales opportunities, activating one of our many events which include, NASCAR, car shows, drag racing, etc. Daily office duties such as answering phone calls, filing, data management would also be a part of the position.

Interns must be able to work a minimum of 25 hours per week plus all events held during the semester.

This is an unpaid internship for college credit.

Job Summary: 

The Senior Sales Executive is responsible for producing corporate sponsorship sales revenues. The candidate must set appointments with regional, local and national business leaders and sell new corporate sponsorships for Atlanta Motor Speedway as well as service and maintain existing sponsorship accounts. Additional responsibilities include assisting in the development and execution of consumer and business-to-business promotions for new and existing account

 

Essential Functions:

 

·      Grow sponsorship revenue streams.

·      Focus on partnerships of $50k +.

·      Provide Customer Service to existing sponsorship accounts by visiting with the accounts throughout the season and off-season to ensure personalized, continual contact.

·      Renew Sponsorship Accounts that are assigned.

·      Set Appointments over the phone with corporate decision makers, with a certain number of appointments per week as a goal for success in the position.

·      Deliver the Sponsorship sales presentations on appointments with company decision-makers.

·      Assist in the creation and implementation of consumer and business-to-business-based promotions.

·      Maintain Salesforce database and add new database leads.

·      Prospect for quality leads.

·      Visit with accounts and maintain and develop relationship with sponsorship clients.

·      Assist in growing Events and Ticketing Revenues, including selling these inventories as necessary.

 

Qualifications

Required:

Job Requirements:

Job Summary:  Atlanta Motor Speedway is seeking highly motivated individuals to sell group ticket packages to businesses and organizations within the metro Atlanta area and beyond.

 

Essential Functions:

1.    Create new markets for group ticket sales in the local area through industry research cold calls and networking lead generation opportunities while maintaining a minimum number of calls.

2.    Daily requirement of 75+ calls to new and existing clients

3.    Work activities will include evenings, weekends, and possibly some holidays as business demands.

4.    Process orders and invoices through Ticketmaster Archtics software.

Client Services Manager - Kentucky Speedway (Sparta, KY)

Job Description 

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Sales and Marketing, the Client Services Manager duties include overall management and execution of the season-long vendor programs, corporate hospitality areas, contracted asset management and new area development.   This individual will be responsible for assisting the Sr. Director of Sales and Marketing with corporate sales clients and contracted asset execution for all Kentucky Speedway hosted events.   The Client Services Manager must be organized and have a strong ability to project, manage and meet deadlines.   Must possess the ability to handle high pressure situations and remain flexible.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Corporate Hospitality

  • Layout all corporate hospitality areas and assist clients with placement and planning for their event.   

  • Procure and manage hospitality asset inventory such as tents, tables, chairs, linens.

  • Obtain and manage vendor estimates and proposal process.

  • Work with our Operations Team on upkeep items related to event planning and preparation related to appearance and readiness for use.

  • Consult with clients from inception to organize, manage and function as the liaison for client hospitalities between third party vendors when necessary. 

  • Assist corporate clients with planning and defining needs such as signage request, party catering, development of menus, etc. 

  • Manage accurate accounting of all event expenses including purchase order creation and budget tracking.

  • Conduct post-event follow up survey of corporate hospitality clients.

  • Supervise Suite level during race time - Terrace Box, Kentucky Club, Corporate Suites. 

  • Check with suite host to ensure catering needs are met and that the facility is up to operation standards. 

  • Maintain contracted asset spreadsheet for all clients.

  • Event Access Management 

  • Act as the liaison between Corporate Sales and the Ticket Department.

  • Generate comp/contract ticket requests as necessary.

  • Work with the Graphic Designer and Ticketing Director on the design of Suite ticket books.

  • Create annual contract ticket spreadsheet.

  • Forward credential request forms to clients and complete internal request forms for the Credential Manager.

  • Consult with the Credentials Manager to ensure accuracy of all credentials for corporate sales.

  • Assist Corporate Sales with the coordination of Pit Tours and information given to the clients.

  • Distribute and generate all suite contracts for finance.

  • Other Responsibilities

  • Assist with event staff planning and on-site supervision during events.

  • Partner with our Graphic Designer on development of corporate ticket offer flyers and generate department proposals and sales decks.

  • Other projects assigned by the VP of Corporate Sales.

  • Represent Kentucky Speedway with the utmost professionalism and integrity at all times.

Education/Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Minimum three to five years of proven client services event experience with preferred emphasis in professional sports sponsorships.   

  • Must exhibit a high degree of personal initiative, sound judgment, and maintenance of confidentiality.

  • Excellent grammar, spelling, proofreading and writing abilities

  • A team player with excellent interpersonal skills

  • Flexible in terms of handling a variety of assignments under tight deadlines while maintaining strong focus in consistency and quality.

  • Willingness to work a non-traditional schedule when requested, including but not limited to race weekends and special events.

Position Overview:
A senior level corporate sales and account management position within the Kentucky Speedway sales department located in Sparta Kentucky. This position will focus primarily on contacting potential sponsors, developing targeted marketing programs and selling integrated event partnerships for all events at Kentucky Speedway. Qualified candidates must have a strong sports sponsorship background and possess the organizational and management skills to develop and execute creative sales and marketing programs. Candidates must be self-starters capable of driving creative and comprehensive marketing alliances and partnerships.

Responsibilities
• Responsible for growing corporate sales revenue specifically by selling fully integrated sponsorship packages to new and existing business clients.
• Develop, present, and sell customized partnership packages.
• Create, present and sell other inventory including hospitality and suites, signage, print advertising and event display space.
• Reach sales revenue targets for the season and each major event.
• Research potential clients and determine opportunities to enhance their marketing and sales objectives via Kentucky Speedway’s available inventory.
• Heavy cold calling and prospecting for potential new business.

• Reach sales revenue targets for the season and each major event.

An ideal candidate will have at minimum the following qualifications and competencies:  

5 years minimum experience in sports sponsorship sales 
• Knowledge of the motorsports industry
