Ticket Sales and Services Representative - Sonoma Raceway (Sonoma, CA)

Position:  Ticket Sales and Services Representative

Sonoma Raceway is looking for Ticket Sales and Services Representatives. Job responsibilities and duties to include, but not be limited to the following:

Ticket Sales

  • Sell season tickets, group tickets and individual tickets to all motorsports events at Sonoma Raceway  
  • Sell and/or upsell all add-on ticket products
  • Call current and past customers and cold call new sales leads to generate sales and establish long-term customer – employee relationships
  • Research, prospect and establish leads of area businesses and individuals through sales methods including, but not limited to: phone, in-person appointments, networking events, promotional events, email, and social networking
  • Cordially and effectively handle incoming sales calls from prospective clients for all ticket sales products
  • Achieve team oriented sales goals through developing mutually beneficial working relationships with all team members               
  • Proactively use sales strategies to acquire and follow up on referrals               

Ticket Services

  • Assist with ticket renewal process- mailing invoices, reseating upgrade requests and other account changes
  • Become proficient in all database management software (Archtics and Dimension)
  • Process orders and payments as received
  • Provide outstanding service to our guests and patrons
  • Contribute to the printing, production and distribution of tickets and collaterals
  • Reconcile daily personal operator receipts
  • Assist with special projects as needed

Event Duties

  • Staff event positions and assist with event specific activities as determined by event
  • Assist with VIP guest needs (Garage Tours, golf cart pick-ups/drop-offs)
  • Assist with fulfillment of Guest Recognition program activities
  • Be available to assist with other non-specific responsibilities before, during and after events

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a four-year college degree in Sport Management, Business Administration, or related field. Sales and customer service experience is required. Candidates must be energetic, outgoing, well organized, professional, able to handle multiple tasks, team oriented and work well in a fast paced environment.  Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook) skills are a must.  

Position Classification: Hourly (Non-exempt)

Schedule: This position will work approximately 30-40+ hours per week. Candidates for this position must be available to work weekends and evenings. 

Compensation: $15-$20 per hour, depending on experience plus bonus incentive program.  Medical, dental, and other insurance benefits, plus company 401(k) plan. Position will receive 6 tickets to each event date ($3000 value).

Ticket Sales Account Executive - Texas Motor Speedway (Fort Worth, TX)

Texas Motor Speedway is evolving and looking for highly motivated and passionate individuals to join their sales team. TMS is looking for candidates that have a passion for the sports industry, a solid foundation of sales training, and ability to initiate phone calls, emails, face to face appointments, and create new innovative programs to increase attendance and drive revenue.

The Account Executive job is a full time position with benefits.

Essential Duties and Primary Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Responsible for the sales of new Full Season, Partial Season and Group Outing ticket packages, as well as PSLs, Victory Lane Club, and Speedway Club packages to both the business and consumer sectors
  • Meet and exceed established weekly, monthly and annual sales
  • Maintain business relationships with a pre-determined book of business for on-going renewal and upsell opportunities
  • Implement and demonstrate outbound sales efforts by using sales and service best practices, prospecting, networking, lead generation, referral gathering, data capture and personal database management
  • Generate a pre-determined minimum number of outgoing phone calls per day with the purpose of creating new business opportunities
  • Generate a pre-determined minimum number of weekly out of office as well as in venue “face-to-face” meetings to create new business opportunities
  • Provide a superior level of customer service to all ticket buyers, regardless of level of purchase
  • Continually create and implement unique sales strategies, ideas and programs as a means of producing new business opportunities
  • Contribute positively to the sales team culture by developing mutually beneficial working relationships with all team members
  • Participate and contribute to daily or weekly sales team meetings and training sessions
  • Active involvement in at least one specified networking group, to assist in creating new sales opportunities

Competencies:

Include strong organizational, time-management, excellent oral and written communication, customer service and problem solving skills. The ability to function in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to deadlines is a must. Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook) as well as the ability to navigate the Ticketmaster Ticketing System (Archtics) are essential. A candidate must have the ability to navigate Texas Motor Speedway in order to visit clients during race events and escort potential customers on seat tours, showing various seating options and facilities on both event days and non-event days. Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of successful sales experience regardless of previous industry
  • Four-year college degree in Business, Sports Management, or related field
