Job Duties:

  • Develop sponsorship opportunities for a variety of facility events including both NASCAR event weekends
  • Familiarization with Current Sponsor Agreements
  • Aggressively seek and contact potential clients/sponsors to continue developing New Business
  • Create, present and sell all facility inventory including Corporate Hospitality, Luxury Suites, Signage, Display Space and more
  • Maintain and create positive consumer relations in all client contact
  • Work within a team environment to achieve set revenue goals both individually and for the department
  • Participate in all facility events and productions as needed


·         Minimum of five (5) years sports marketing/sponsorship sales experience is preferred

·         Proven ability to network within the corporate community and sell sports sponsorship programs                         including cold calling, prospecting and lead development

·         College degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Communications

·         Knowledge of Motorsports industry

·         Excellent written and verbal communication  along with presentation skills

·         Excellent organization and planning skills with the ability to react quickly and multi-task

·         Strong computer skills in all aspects of Microsoft Office and Salesforce database management

·         Must be a team player, self-starter, aggressive and professional

·         Position requires working some evenings, all major event weekends and some travel required

Sales & Marketing: Client Relations/Customer Service
Tour Guide- Part Time - Charlotte Motor Speedway (Concord, NC)

Tour Guides need to be high energy individuals that can engage the race fan during all Charlotte Motor Speedway’s daily tours and event time tours. Guides need to have a flexible work schedule and possess exceptional customer service and communication skills.

Job Responsibilities:
• Greet and provide top-notch customer service to all visitors of Charlotte Motor Speedway by effectively answering questions, providing directions, and selling tours.
• Provide safe tours to the general public and groups
               o  Feel the Thrill Tour
               o Over the Wall Tour
               o STEM Education Tours
               o Trackside Tram Tours during race week
               o NASCAR Hall of Fame Tours
               o Race Shop Tours
• Inform the Tour Services Manager when maintenance and care is needed on the tour vans.
• Solicit group tours and conventions to purchase daily tours
• Utilize Archtic ticket system by selling daily tours through it, adding customer accounts and doing end of the day ticket reports.
• Responsible for keeping scripts up-to-date and needs to be knowledgeable of the ticket packages available to fans.
• Responsible for fueling vans prior to usage and cleanliness of vehicles
• Enjoy working with fans of all ages
• Other duties as assigned


• Must be at least 21 years old 
• Experience with Microsoft Office products, Outlook and PCs is required
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
• Flexible and able to adjust to changing conditions and circumstances
• Flexible work schedule and willing to work weekdays, weekends and some evenings
• Clean motor vehicle driving record
• Able to operate a 15 passenger van

Ticket Sales Representative - Part-Time (Evenings & Weekends) - Charlotte Motor Speedway (Concord, NC)

Charlotte Motor Speedway is seeking part-time Ticket Sales Representatives to generate excitement and drive revenue through selling Charlotte Motor Speedway, zMAZ Dragway and The Dirt Track at Charlotte tickets. We are looking for highly motivated individual(s) committed to success and comfortable with telephone sales.  Must possess a high level of energy and passion for what you represent. Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Manage and sell an assigned number of warm leads by making outbound calls
• Quickly follow-up on assigned leads to ensure we capitalize on selling tickets to those who recently attended or contacted CMS
• Build and maintain excellent customer service standards
• Continually collect and update the ticket buyer database with desired information
• Strive to increase ticket sales for all events currently on sale

Ideal Candidate:

• Strong work ethic and a desire to build a career in professional sports
• Strong communication skill
• Self-starter
• Prior call center experience and/or sales experience preferred but not essential
• Experience and understanding of Ticketmaster/Archtics ticketing system

The Director of Marketing is a member of the Sonoma Raceway management team and one of the principal authors of the raceway’s overall brand strategy, event marketing, advertising and promotional campaigns.  The position requires strong leadership, communication and coaching skills that lend themselves to working in a collaborative company environment.  The marketing director will play a lead role in directing program execution within the marketing and promotions staff as well as coordinating with corporate sales, public relations, ticket sales and other raceway departments to maximize overall company revenues and ensure consistent brand messaging.  The position reports to the Vice President of Marketing.

  • Develop coherent, season-long marketing campaigns around NASCAR, NHRA and INDYCAR racing events and core initiatives

  • Work with the VP, Marketing to develop and submit an annual marketing plan and oversee the implementation of long-term marketing and promotional campaigns to drive ticket sales, corporate sales, engage fans, and build brand awareness

  • Plan, manage and reconcile raceway’s annual marketing budget while placing strong emphasis on analyzing trends and measuring ROI in all areas
  • Develop quantitative reports in support of marketing and sales efforts across ticket and corporate sales programs
  • Work with VP Marketing to develop creative materials for all major events across television, radio, print, online and outdoor campaigns ensuring consistency and world-class presentation
  • Direct and oversee initiatives, timelines and goals for media buyer, production house and advertising agency
  • Oversee digital communications strategy and execution and work with Digital Marketing Manager on website, social media and all electronic communications,      e-marketing initiatives, website data collection, online promotions,
  • Oversee activities of Event and Promotions Coordinator and work to identify, book and coordinate race-day entertainment, including pre-race production.
  • Work with PR and communication teams to develop content that supports campaigns and initiatives
  • Work with other departments (Sales, Ticketing) to enhance sponsorship platforms and other track partnerships
  • Serve as main point of contact for racing series and broadcast partners
