Business Development Executive – Atlanta Motor Speedway Corporate Sales Department

Job Summary: 

The Business Development Executive is responsible for producing corporate sponsorship sales revenues. The candidate must set appointments with regional, local and national business leaders and sell new corporate sponsorships for Atlanta Motor Speedway as well as service and maintain existing sponsorship accounts. Additional responsibilities include assisting in the development and execution of consumer and business-to-business promotions for new and existing accounts.  You will be provided with a company vehicle, lap top and cell phone.  Salary is commensurate based on experience and will be competitive.

 Essential Functions:

·          Grow sponsorship revenue streams while also cultivating new business

·          Prospect and grow corporate events/track rentals/ticket sales

·          Provide Customer Service to existing sponsorship accounts by visiting with the accounts throughout                the season and off-season to ensure personalized, continual contact

·          Assist in the creation and implementation of consumer and business-to-business-based promotions

·          Maintain Salesforce database and add new database leads

·          Ability to prospect and network for quality leads

·          Visit with accounts and maintain and develop relationship with sponsorship clients

·          Ability to sell multiple events with many different types of inventory

Qualifications required:

·          Bachelor’s Degree plus 2-3 years of prior experience in a similar role

·          Previous advertising, radio sales or sponsorship sales experience with a sports organization

·          Strong ability to communicate

·          Drive, determination, and a strong work ethic

·          Must be organized

·          Willingness and ability to listen and learn

·          Willingness and ability to work long hours, including weekends and holidays as business needs

·          Knowledge of motorsports preferred but not required

Ticket Sales Representative - Part-Time (Evenings & Weekends) - Charlotte Motor Speedway (Concord, NC)

Charlotte Motor Speedway is seeking part-time Ticket Sales Representatives to generate excitement and drive revenue through selling Charlotte Motor Speedway, zMAZ Dragway and The Dirt Track at Charlotte tickets. We are looking for highly motivated individual(s) committed to success and comfortable with telephone sales.  Must possess a high level of energy and passion for what you represent. Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Manage and sell an assigned number of warm leads by making outbound calls
• Quickly follow-up on assigned leads to ensure we capitalize on selling tickets to those who recently attended or contacted CMS
• Build and maintain excellent customer service standards
• Continually collect and update the ticket buyer database with desired information
• Strive to increase ticket sales for all events currently on sale

Ideal Candidate:

• Strong work ethic and a desire to build a career in professional sports
• Strong communication skill
• Self-starter
• Prior call center experience and/or sales experience preferred but not essential
• Experience and understanding of Ticketmaster/Archtics ticketing system

Ticket Sales Account Executive - Texas Motor Speedway (Fort Worth, TX)

Texas Motor Speedway is evolving and looking for highly motivated and passionate individuals to join their sales team. TMS is looking for candidates that have a passion for the sports industry, a solid foundation of sales training, and ability to initiate phone calls, emails, face to face appointments, and create new innovative programs to increase attendance and drive revenue.

The Account Executive job is a full time position with benefits.

Essential Duties and Primary Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Responsible for the sales of new Full Season, Partial Season and Group Outing ticket packages, as well as PSLs, Victory Lane Club, and Speedway Club packages to both the business and consumer sectors
  • Meet and exceed established weekly, monthly and annual sales
  • Maintain business relationships with a pre-determined book of business for on-going renewal and upsell opportunities
  • Implement and demonstrate outbound sales efforts by using sales and service best practices, prospecting, networking, lead generation, referral gathering, data capture and personal database management
  • Generate a pre-determined minimum number of outgoing phone calls per day with the purpose of creating new business opportunities
  • Generate a pre-determined minimum number of weekly out of office as well as in venue “face-to-face” meetings to create new business opportunities
  • Provide a superior level of customer service to all ticket buyers, regardless of level of purchase
  • Continually create and implement unique sales strategies, ideas and programs as a means of producing new business opportunities
  • Contribute positively to the sales team culture by developing mutually beneficial working relationships with all team members
  • Participate and contribute to daily or weekly sales team meetings and training sessions
  • Active involvement in at least one specified networking group, to assist in creating new sales opportunities

Competencies:

Include strong organizational, time-management, excellent oral and written communication, customer service and problem solving skills. The ability to function in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to deadlines is a must. Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook) as well as the ability to navigate the Ticketmaster Ticketing System (Archtics) are essential. A candidate must have the ability to navigate Texas Motor Speedway in order to visit clients during race events and escort potential customers on seat tours, showing various seating options and facilities on both event days and non-event days. Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of successful sales experience regardless of previous industry
  • Four-year college degree in Business, Sports Management, or related field
