Junior Salesman - Kentucky Speedway (Sparta, KY)

A junior level corporate sales and account management position within the Kentucky Speedway sales department located in Sparta Kentucky. This position will focus primarily on contacting potential sponsors and selling integrated event partnerships for events at Kentucky Speedway. Qualified candidates must possess the organizational and management skills to develop and execute creative sales programs. Candidates must be self-starters capable of driving creative and comprehensive alliances and partnerships. 


  • Responsible for growing corporate sales revenue specifically by selling fully integrated sponsorship packages to new and existing business clients.

  • Develop, present, and sell customized partnership packages.

  • Create, present and sell other inventory including hospitality and suites, signage, print advertising and event display space.

  • Reach sales revenue targets for the season and each major event.

  • Research potential clients and determine opportunities to enhance their marketing and sales objectives via Kentucky Speedway’s available inventory.

  • Heavy cold calling and prospecting for potential new business.

  • Work within a team environment in collaboration with other Kentucky Speedway sales executives.

  • Ensure sponsor contracts include promotional commitments that assist the company in building the Kentucky Speedway brand as well as assist in building event attendance and revenue.

  • Research industries and companies, prepare presentations, and sell all assigned inventory and achieve net review goals assigned by category as well as total net revenue objective assigned.

  • Reach sales revenue targets for the season and each major event.

  • Assist in the coordination and execution of sponsorship programs.

  • Participate in facility events and productions as needed.

An ideal candidate will have at minimum the following qualifications and competencies:              
• Knowledge of the motorsports industry
• Basic knowledge of contracts and procurement a plus
• Good interpersonal skills, with ability to develop and maintain business relationships
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Proven negotiation skills and strong conceptual and strategic thinking ability
• Strong customer satisfaction orientation
• Excellent organization and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency with presentation tools such as data management & a plus
• Consultative sales style, prospecting skills, and a desire to identify new business opportunities 

Candidates must be willing and available, as needed, for working evenings, weekends and holidays including weekday and weekend overnight travel.

Marketing Coordinator - Texas Motor Speedway (Fort Worth, TX)

Texas Motor Speedway, the leader in motorsports-based entertainment, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic marketing coordinator to join the Marketing Department.

The key function of this position will be day-today execution of event campaigns and management of website and email content. In addition, the Marketing Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Director of Marketing and Social Media Manager with marketing and social media programs and initiatives serving an essential role in support and activation.


  • Assist with daily maintenance of all social media outlets where Texas Motor Speedway has presence including engagement/conversation, monitoring and issue escalation/response.
  • Conducts research to identify social media best practices and trends that will be used to hone and improve strategy, campaigns, and programs.
  • Assists with designing and conducting social media-based promotions and contests in accordance with applicable laws and rules of social media outlets.
  • Works with a cross-functional team, including but not limited to Media, Events, Sales, Media Relations and Legal.
  • Responsible for flagging potential negative issues, alerting key stakeholders, and/or developing an action plan or response as appropriate.
  • Develop and implement transition plan for website graphics, sales messages, and banner advertising.
  • Select Fan Council members, coordinate Fan Council on site meetings, create and distribute Fan Council survey.
  • Maintain and disperse Fan Club packages.
  • Prepare analytic reports for various social platforms including: Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
  • Assist with establishing social media content.
  • Communicate effectively with creatives as a liaison.
  • Responsible for blogger engagement and maintaining relationships. Create and schedule content for blog.
  • Additional duties to be assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, with an emphasis in marketing, communications, or public relations.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience and demonstrated talent in social media, media relations or related field.
  • Excellent writing, research, and reporting skills; some technical skills a plus.
  • Knowledge of social media/pop culture landscape.
  • Ability to engage fans and influence digital strategy.
  • Strong interest in motorsports i.e. NASCAR, IndyCar.
  • Sound judgement and decision-making skills.
  • Self-starter/multi-tasker, creative, and excellent time management skills.
  • Willingness to work a non-traditional schedule including special events, three major race weekends, weekends when major sanctioning bodies are competing and when necessary, holidays.

Ticket Sales Account Executive - Texas Motor Speedway (Fort Worth, TX)

Texas Motor Speedway is evolving and looking for highly motivated and passionate individuals to join their sales team. TMS is looking for candidates that have a passion for the sports industry, a solid foundation of sales training, and ability to initiate phone calls, emails, face to face appointments, and create new innovative programs to increase attendance and drive revenue.

The Account Executive job is a full time position with benefits.

Essential Duties and Primary Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Responsible for the sales of new Full Season, Partial Season and Group Outing ticket packages, as well as PSLs, Victory Lane Club, and Speedway Club packages to both the business and consumer sectors
  • Meet and exceed established weekly, monthly and annual sales
  • Maintain business relationships with a pre-determined book of business for on-going renewal and upsell opportunities
  • Implement and demonstrate outbound sales efforts by using sales and service best practices, prospecting, networking, lead generation, referral gathering, data capture and personal database management
  • Generate a pre-determined minimum number of outgoing phone calls per day with the purpose of creating new business opportunities
  • Generate a pre-determined minimum number of weekly out of office as well as in venue “face-to-face” meetings to create new business opportunities
  • Provide a superior level of customer service to all ticket buyers, regardless of level of purchase
  • Continually create and implement unique sales strategies, ideas and programs as a means of producing new business opportunities
  • Contribute positively to the sales team culture by developing mutually beneficial working relationships with all team members
  • Participate and contribute to daily or weekly sales team meetings and training sessions
  • Active involvement in at least one specified networking group, to assist in creating new sales opportunities


Include strong organizational, time-management, excellent oral and written communication, customer service and problem solving skills. The ability to function in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to deadlines is a must. Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook) as well as the ability to navigate the Ticketmaster Ticketing System (Archtics) are essential. A candidate must have the ability to navigate Texas Motor Speedway in order to visit clients during race events and escort potential customers on seat tours, showing various seating options and facilities on both event days and non-event days. Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays is required.


  • A minimum of two years of successful sales experience regardless of previous industry
  • Four-year college degree in Business, Sports Management, or related field
