Part-Time Gate 26 Security Officer (Weekends) - Charlotte Motor Speedway (Concord, NC)

Position Summary:

This position will work about every other weekend and as needed during the week. The Security Officer will be responsible for allowing only authorized traffic to enter through a gate into the race track area. This position facilitates the resolutions to unforeseen problems that arise with various scheduled activities and will conduct security checks of the property daily.

General Responsibilities

·         Maintain security inside the race track area by controlling access and allowing only those authorized to enter.

·         Greet visitors and direct them to their authorized destination.

·         Work with staff as needed to facilitate events happening in a fan friendly atmosphere.

·         Maintain communications with Fire/EMS, Police, and alarm companies and respond as needed in the event of an emergency.

·         Assist in physical security of CMS property daily.

·         During events, assist with safety and security of spectators.

·         Keep written log of daily activity.

·         Assist Security Supervisor in tasks as directed.

Desired qualifications:

·         High School graduate or GED,

·         Basic computer skills

·         Read and Write English

·         Available to work all days and shifts

·         Able to stand or sit for extended periods of time

·         Prior Law Enforcement, Military, and Security preferred

Position Summary:

This position will work about every other weekend and as needed during the week. The Security Officer will be responsible for overall safety and security of Charlotte Motor Speedway with a concentration on Smith Tower and secondarily, the entire CMS property. The Security Officer position greets guests and employees as they enter Smith Tower and facilitates the resolutions to unforeseen problems that arise with various scheduled activities.

The position of Event Security is to ensure the safety and security of the guests, employees, and property by making certain all venue rules, regulations and procedures are enforced in a positive and proactive manner.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Secure gates, parking lots, or specific entrance points

  • Patrol venue to preserve order among patrons, visitors, staff, and protect property

  • Check credentials and golf cart stickers  

  • Answer patron questions while giving accurate event information

  • Resolve conflict situations if necessary

Event Camping Attendant - Kentucky Speedway (Sparta, KY)

As an Event Camping Attendant at Kentucky Speedway in the Events Department, you will be the first point of contact for our campers. In this role you will have the opportunity to meet and greet camping guests during race events, verify and scan camping credentials, give directions, and answer questions in a professional and friendly manner as the guests arrive at the Camping Check-in booth. In addition, you will work closely with security personnel to secure the campground entrances.

Camping Attendants may work up to12 hour shifts.

RV Coordinator - Las Vegas Motor Speedway (Las Vegas, NV)

Position: RV Coordinator
Reports To: Director of Ticket Services

Position Overview:

The RV Coordinator will be responsible for the oversight of all aspects of RV ticket sales and operations for all events pertaining. This individual will have a strong focus on generating new and renewal revenue through season and individual ticket sales as well as up-selling existing accounts via phone, email and off-site events. The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional who leads by example, possesses exceptional customer service & relationship building skills, and has the ability to work closely with other team members to ensure all policies and procedures of everything RV are conveyed.

Position Responsibilities:

• Develop creative sales initiatives to help grow the RV sales base.

• Maintain accurate records of all prospecting activities and outbound call campaigns

• Prospect and qualify potential sales opportunities.

• Perform all outbound calls as related to renewals, new sales campaigns and trouble issues.                        

• Coordinate off-site promotions and attend events with the purpose of selling RV spaces and ticket packages

• Provide all necessary correspondence to RV customers throughout the year, with 24 hour follow-up              

• Create and maintain sales and renewal reports on RV ticket sales, year over year.                                      

• Monitor and update all sales and policy information pertaining to RV’s for all events as posted on all websites, RV Rules and Regulation pamphlets and sales collateral provided to all team members and other departments.

•Work closely with track security, operations department and other departments to ensure best practices and proper enforcement of RV policies.                                                                                                            

• Work closely with RV related temporary staff including work campers and ticket sellers, with focus on distribution of ticket stock and banks and daily reconciliation of walk-up sales.

•Responsible for assembly and distribution of any RV Ticket Packages, gift bags and renewal packages.        

• Assist in other duties as assigned by the Director of Ticket Services

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience in selling tickets is required                                                                        

• Knowledge of ticketing software Archtics strongly recommended                                                                

• Excellent time management, organization and customer service skills                                                        

• Ability to respond quickly and effectively to changing trends and circumstances                                          

• Knowledge of recreational vehicles a plus

• Ability to work irregular and long work hours, weekends

• Superior communication, leadership and interpersonal skills                                                                        

• Self-motivated with positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment                                            

• Knowledge of and interest in NASCAR/NHRA and/or motorsports industry a plus

Golf Cart Mechanic & Driver - SMI Properties (Concord, NC)

SMI Properties is seeking a full time Mechanic Driver (willing to train) to work as a member of our Assets team. We are looking for a creative and dynamic set of people. Our MD's are all year employees working approximately 125 days out of town at race events, 30% driving and 70% in house duties.

Responsibilities include golf cart work including maintenance and repair, paperwork, and asset DOT driving (willing to train). Ability to work extended days including evening and weekend hours is a must. This work will include working outside in all types of weather. Minimum Requirements: Mechanic aptitude and/or experience a plus. Basic computer skills required. Either a valid and clean Class A CDL Driver's or willingness to become CDL A licensed with on the job paid training. Salary increase when officially licensed. Golf Cart or Auto Body repair and painting, welding and fabrication experience a plus. Ability to work independently with strong interactive communication skills preferred.
