Event Ticket Sales Representative - Las Vegas Motor Speedway Ticket Office (Las Vegas, NV)

Las Vegas Motor Speedway Ticketing Department is looking for Event Ticket Sales Representatives to join our team from now through our 2018 March NASCAR race weekend.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sell admission tickets and extra packages from Ticketmaster Archtics system
  • Answers questions concerning events, tickets and schedules
  • Hand out will call tickets after verifying the patrons photo identification
  • Balance cash and receipt drawer with manager at the end of each shift
  • Taking in-bound and making out-bound sales calls
  • Adhere to all Ticket Services policies and procedures
  • Provide courteous and professional customer service
  • Commission available on top of hourly rate
  • Pay Rate scale starts at $10.00 an hour

Requirements:

Must have a valid driver's license and pass all security and background checks. To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

Customer Service Oriented: 

Respond promptly to customer needs
Respond to requests for service and assistance
Treat patrons in a kind and courteous manner

Work Environment: 

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however, during events, the noise level may be loud
  • Employees must be able to work on evenings, weekends and holidays as required
  • Employees must be able to work long extended hours during events; overtime

Texas Motor Speedway LugNutz Scholarship Program

Job Description:

Texas Motor Speedway is looking for fun, energetic and outgoing people to work at Texas Motor Speedway as a LugNutz team member! LugNutz are a promotional street team that represents Texas Motor Speedway on race weekends as well as promotional events throughout the year. In addition to hands-on experience, valuable learning opportunities, the LugNutz will get paid to have fun! This position is great for marketing, communications, event sport management and advertising majors, but all majors are encouraged to apply.

Commitment:

  • Must commit to the LugNutz program for one (1) academic year with dates ranging from October 2017 to June 2018.
  • Must attend all race weekends at Texas Motor Speedway during the following dates: November 3-6, 2017, April 6-8, 2018, and June 8-9, 2018.
  • LugNutz must participate in thirty (30) hours of paid promotion events throughout the academic year, other than race weekends. Willingness to attend these events will be part of the scholarship consideration process.
  • Mandatory LugNutz orientation October 2017 and training session one (1) month prior to each race thereafter.

Qualifications:

  • Must be spirited and enthusiastic.
  • Must have high energy level and positive attitude.
  • Must have an outgoing and friendly personality.
  • Must have excellent crowd interaction and must be able to interact well with children.
  • Must be a good team player with the ability to work well with others.
  • Must be willing to work outdoors, be in good physical condition and good health.

Benefits:

  • $10.00 per hour during race weekend and promotional events.
  • Five (5) to ten (10) members will be selected as LugNutz Captains and will receive $15.00 per hour during race weekends.
  • Two (2) complimentary tickets to the days worked of race weekends. (Tickets will be given to LugNutz after shift is completed each race day.)

  • The TOP LugNutz team member will receive a $2,500.00 scholarship to be applied towards their continuing college education.

Show Car Promotional Team - Texas Motor Speedway (Fort Worth, TX)

Showcar Promotional Team Member - Texas Motor Speedway (Fort Worth, TX)

Role and Responsibilities

  • The Showcar Promotional Team Member will aggressively promote TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY through consumer interaction for TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY’S promotional team.  This position will be responsible for setting the example on the ideal way to handle consumer interactions for promotional events at Texas Motor Speedway.

  • The Team Member will take direction from the Promotions Manager, Showcar Coordinator and Promotional Team Leader as well as having involvement with event recaps and data collection goals.

  • Will be responsible for meeting weekly regarding current promotional goals.

  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge about TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY and communicate current  TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY event updates, sales, contests, knowledge of NASCAR/INDYCAR and other racing events at TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY.

  • Demonstrate skills in customer relations & problem solving as well as event setup and brainstorming processes to improve TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY promotions.

  • Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.

  • Resolve problems, address concerns or complaints as they arise, work effectively under pressure and produce accurate results.

  • Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs.

  • Must have a valid driver's license; must have transportation to drive to the various TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY promotional events around the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

  • The Team Member will have a positive attitude and great interpersonal communication skills. 

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.  College preferred.  Must have great knowledge of the official Texas Motor Speedway calendar of events. Must have the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, ability to tactfully handle customer interaction, and have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees and the general public. 

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must be able to pass background check
  • Must have valid driver's license and ability to drive various promotional vehicles
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from workplace
  • Promotional and/or brand ambassador experience preferred.
  • Be able to learn and promote current promotions and events going on at TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY
  • Mandatory to work each day of major race weekends in April, June and November
  • Ability to meet on a quarterly basis for evaluation and future goal discussion
